Background

After trading as a partnership for over 150 years, the partners of Rawlins Davy made the decision to reflect their core client portfolio's trading status and to provide transparency and full visability, by incorporating as a Public Limited Company (PLC).

On 1 st May 2008, Rawlins Davy PLC commenced trading as Rawlins Davy Solicitors & Mediators. This was a defining moment for the former partners, now Director/Shareholders.

As shareholders, each of the formers partners now stands behind the company with a substantial personal financial investment.

We strongly believe that our clients will benefit not only from Rawlins Davy's ongoing commitment to delivering a professional service of the highest calibre and proven technical excellence, but also from the financial commitment of the solicitor/shareholders in Rawlins Davy PLC.

Our extensive commercial client base includes an increasing number of public limited companies, together with private limited companies and businesses considering incorporation and we look forward to moving forward together.

The Directors

David Campbell - Chairman
David leads the firm's Employment and Licensing team. He also specialises in Commercial Property and has a well established reputation for his expertise in planning law.

John Kennar - Managing Director
John has extensive experience in meeting the needs of companies and business clients ranging from start-ups to those with turnovers of over £100 million. He is responsible for Rawlins Davy's Commercial team.

Martin Davies - Finance Director
Martin is an experienced High Court and County Court litigator. He is also an accredited Civil Mediator and heads up the firm's Dispute Resolution and Debt Recovery teams. Martin has extensive experience in acting for and advising both office holders and private clients in matters arising under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy leglislation.

Neil's specialist talents include working with our extensive developer client base in site realisations;  he also heads up our Residential Property team.

Peter Norman
Peter joined the firm in 2005 following the merger of his previous firm, Rendall Litchfield&Co with Rawlins Davy. Peter deals principally with property work for both private clients and developers and has a wealth of experience in the social housing sector.

Owen is a key member of our commercial property team dealing with the freehold property aspects of our merger and acquisitions (M&A) work together with disposals, acquisitions and re financing for Commercial Property clients.
