Do you pay referral fees?
It is not uncommon in a property sale or purchase for an estate agent to receive a referral fee from a solicitor in return for a recommendation. Whilst such payments are not prohibited when properly explained and disclosed to you, the client, at Rawlins Davy Reeves we do not pay fees. We receive referrals because of the quality of our work, not because we must pay for them.
How many years’ experience do you have?
We have an active “youth team” policy to enable us to recruit, train and promote the next generation of lawyers. However, no transaction is quite the same as the next, and that is when experience and local knowledge comes into play. Our team have conducted tens of thousands of transactions and put that knowledge and experience at your disposal.
How many years trading experience does the firm have?
Rawlins Davy Reeves have been trading since 1832 which to our knowledge makes us the oldest firm in the region! Prices that appear “too good to be true” may be just that – if they are not sustainable then the firms offering such deals may join the many firms that have come and gone over the years.
