Martin Davies is the Managing Director here at Rawlins Davy. He has recently taken over as President of the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce (BCTC), following being an executive at the Chamber for some years. He also sits on the Bournemouth Town Centre BID, the Bournemouth Tourism & Management Board and is a trustee of Diverse Abilities. Through Martins continued work, the Chamber has recently signed up to the pan-Dorset affiliation.

Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce is the largest town chamber in Dorset. Bournemouth’s part in the pan-Dorset affiliation will drive economic growth and support local businesses even further. BCTC joins a number of Chambers in the pan-Dorset affiliation programme. Each Chamber still holds its independence with the ability to support each other and work closely together. The other Chambers in the pan-Dorset affiliation programme include Broadstone, Dorchester, Ferndown, Poole, Shaftesbury, Swanage and District Chamber of Trade, and Weymouth and Portland. The nine Chambers involved with the programme have almost 2000 members, who represent more than 40,000 employees.

Here is what Martin Davies, said: “I am delighted that two of the strongest voices for business in Dorset will be working together for the benefit of their respective members and for the wider business community. This exciting development will give greater strength and weight to all of the affiliated chambers when acting together whilst at the same time preserving their individual and unique identities.”

Martin is passionate about supporting local and small businesses and has a wealth of experience. His efforts in the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce have led to SMEs combining, uniting and supporting each other. The BCTC offer networking opportunities, business information, training and development to help businesses grow.
